Senior Protocol Software Engineer
Tired of the same old big company technology jobs? Are you looking to take your career to the next level? Mu Dynamics India Software Private Limited is looking for a Senior Protocol Software Engineer who will be the core of a software development team whose responsibility is to develop a wide range of service protocol stacks and protocol-based attack vectors for the Mu 4000 Service Analyzer. The Senior Protocol Software Engineer models network/communication protocols, implements protocol stacks, and incorporates protocol-based attacks that exploit robustness and security flaws within network operator applications including VoIP, IPTV and the IMS architecture. The Senior Protocol Software Engineer develops new service protocol-based exploit methods, works with Mu Dynamics’ partners and customers to better understand real-world deployment issues, and mentors other software engineers.
This position is located in Bangalore, India.
Requirements:
- Strong software engineering background, with the ability to abstract protocol-specific solutions into solid reusable frameworks. Strong object oriented programming skills a must.
- Data modeling, abstraction and implementation in cross platform/portable scenarios a plus.
- Experience with the Ruby programming language (or other scripting/dynamic programming languages such as Perl) a plus.
- Previous experience implementing solutions that utilize introspection/reflection in a dynamic programming language a plus.
- Experience using automated testing frameworks or extending reusable unit test frameworks. Candidates should have delivered code that incorporates unit test functionality from the early stages of the SDLC. Familiarity with agile and iterative development processes a must.
- Familiarity with TCP/IP and other networking/application protocols and concepts. Domain knowledge of application of higher level protocols in at least one specific area (e.g., VoIP, IMS, IPTV, Routing, SCADA, Microsoft, Telco, and SOAP-based Web Services).
- Ability to analyze and decode network protocols from a security perspective. Security background with familiarity with security concepts including the following is a strong plus:
- Common programming mistakes that result in reliability, availability or security weaknesses and how to exploit these mistakes.
- Experience performing code audits.
- Ability to come up to speed quickly on new and complex Next Generation Network (NGN) communication protocols.
- Must be enthusiastic and excited about working in a fast-paced engineering environment. Self-motivated, resourceful and creative problem solver.

Systems/Network Administrator
Mu Dynamics is looking for a talented Systems/Network Administrator to help our company grow. You will be the primary person responsible for the cost estimation, design, planning, rollout and support of all of Mu Dynamics Systems-related and Network-related infrastructure and services.
As an experienced Systems/Network administration professional who works “smarter, not harder”; you will have experience with a variety of technologies in both systems and networking. You will be responsible for the internal network and servers as well as public services on the Internet.
Ideal candidates are quick learners who think ahead and are able to design for the future. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Engineering.
Requirements:
- Strong Linux server system administration skills required; experience with Red Hat/CentOS preferred.
- Microsoft Windows system administration (Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP) experience.
- Mac OS X experience considered a strong plus.
- Must be able to administer and manage all network based services including DNS, DHCP, SMTP, LDAP, Apache HTTP, etc.
- Experience with common Network Switches and VLANs strongly preferred.
- Experience implementing monitoring solutions (e.g. Nagios) preferred.
- Experience with NetScreen firewalls and Juniper SSL VPN desired.
- Experience with MySQL database administration and Zmanda backup software desired.
- Experience with MS Outlook and MS Exchange considered a plus.
- Experience with virtualization (e.g. VMWare) considered a plus.
- Strong written communication and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to produce quality internal documentation.
- Previous management or technical lead experience considered a strong plus.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of Mu Dynamics’ network, servers and services.
- Provide desktop support to professional and technical staff as needed.
- Document procedures and configurations for use by other Mu Dynamics employees.
- Primary point of contact with vendors and responsibility for project management from cost estimation, design, planning, rollout through ongoing administration and support.
